well, after a day and a halp in wellington, a cruise to picton, and now finally arriving at nelson - there are a few more things i've noticed about the people here:
they have the wirdest jobs: someone tried to sell alpaca poo in a bag for 3 dollars/kg. and another one intrudeced himself as an "Livestock Therapist". i don't know how they find these jobs - or what special training you need to become a livestock therapist - but if it works for them, i won't argue...
in wellington i met some of the first israelis i met this trip (not counting the ones on the flight to hong kong): i met Ravit (which is Tal Feldman's X...) with her new fiance - don't know if feldman know's it. i hung out with them for a dinner at wellington. i also met another israeli, which this time tried to teach me how to get free internet access at the hostel we were staying... figures an israeli will teach you that, don't you think?
